Finished in the warm and vibrant Shu polished urushi lacquer, the Nakaya Naka-ai Cigar Shu Polished emphasizes the model’s gently tapered cigar silhouette and harmonious proportions. As with all Nakaya creations, the pen is hand-turned from natural ebonite hard rubber and finished in layers of natural urushi lacquer by skilled artisans in Wajima, Japan. Complimentary nib tuning is included with this purchase, and optional customizations—such as Cursive Italic, Architect’s Point, or Spencerian—can also be added.

Nakaya pens use a convenient cartridge/converter filling system and can be enjoyed with any standard fountain pen ink. This pen ships in a paulownia wood presentation box, accompanied by a traditional fabric kimono, a Platinum converter, and starter ink cartridges.
